Cosmetics Lab 's facility is based in Horsham, but we have offices in North Yorkshire as well. With a presence in both the north and south UK, we have one of the largest catchment areas.

Does Cosmetics Lab supply any off-the-shelf products?
No we don't offer any off-of-the-shelf products. We only work with clients who are looking to develop their own unique products that best suit their brand. Even when it comes to concept developments in-house the likelihood of it fitting your brands requirements are slim to none. Even the slightest of changes to any currently existing product means a new formula, and thus is subjected to all tests and regulatory obligations as if it were a complete new formula.
How long does the process take?
Every product can take different lengths of time to process, for example a 100% organic may take longer as it's finding enough organic materials that possess the required chemical properties. On average, the entire process from first consultation to finishing production is between 6-9 months.
Am I able to discuss requirements directly with a development chemist?
As we mentioned in our breakdown of the overall process, you have total control over who you communicate with. Cosmetics Lab prides itself on having a 100% transparent and interactive process, meaning you can come into the lab whilst we're developing samples.
Who are Cosmetics Lab's current clients?
Whilst we are very proud of our clients, confidentiality is a core pillar of the Cosmetics Lab business. We have clients in such a wide range of industries, who are passion-driven to pursuit their standard of excellence.
What are your MOQs?
Our minimum order quantity is 1,000 units, with the capability to run up to 50,000 units of one product at a time.
Are the products you develop suitable for international markets?
Yes, all our products are tested to EU regulatory standard. We do this as the last thing we want clients to worry about is having to re-test a product for their market with potential alteration and developments needed.
WHAT ARE THE INITIAL FEES REQUIRED TO DEVELOP MY NEW PRODUCT WITH COSTMETICS LAB?
At Cosmetics Lab we charge no initial fee. We have one sole payment amount which will be disclosed to you upon the contract signing, to which 50% is required pre-production and 50% required post-production.
DOES COSMETICS LAB HAVE PRE-MADE BASES WHICH WON'T REQUIRE ME TO WAIT FOR TESTING?
Although we do have a small amount of pre-made bases and formula's we feel that using these can mean you are truly connected to the product you are creating. We want create the product that's best for not just your brand, but also you.
ARE COSMETICS LAB ABLE TO FORMULATE PRODUCTS WITH VERY SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS?
Yes we are. With our highly skilled, knowledgeable workforce we can tailor and create any formula to the most specific or requirements. From vegan to organic to toxic-free, we've got it covered.
CAN I BE A PART OF THE FORMULATION PROCESS?
You certainly can be, in fact Cosmetics Lab promotes this. We find that our clients have required a high quality of product that has a significantly strong correlation to their brand when partaking.
